We pulled 300 to 500 words from each book to give the detector enough text to identify writing patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Gathering the Samples<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For our AI-generated samples, we chose Dana Winston\u2019s <strong>Fighting Love\u2019s Flame<\/strong> and Sydney Marsh\u2019s <strong>Tumbleweeds and Tequila<\/strong>. According to the books\u2019 respective Barnes &amp; Noble overviews, both were produced with the assistance of author-directed AI tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both were published by Future Fiction Press, a publishing company that explicitly promotes the use of AI in writing and publishing.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For our human-written samples, we chose two classics: Philip K. Dick\u2019s <strong>Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?<\/strong> and Ray Bradbury\u2019s <strong>Fahrenheit 451<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Running Samples Through the Detector<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, we pasted 300 to 500 words of each sample through Undetectable AI\u2019s AI detector.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unsurprisingly, the AI-generated samples showed high likelihood of containing AI-generated content. Fighting Love\u2019s Flame earned a likelihood score of 90%, while Tumbleweeds and Tequila earned a score of 68%, as the detector believed that some parts of the passage were still human-written.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the human-written excerpts were correctly identified as genuine. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? achieved a detection score of 4%, while Fahrenheit 451 achieved a detection score of 1%.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table
